Recently Kalani and I have been discussing Hawaiian issues. For example, a lot has been said about this thing called "the Aloha Spirit." What is it? It's a lie perpetuated by some money hungry people to try to sell Hawaii in order for them to make a profit.

The Aloha Spirit is not a Hawaiian concept. Instead it is a concept created by the Hawai'i's Visitor Bureau to make money. However, I wish that more people would realize that what they are referring to is not the aloha spirit. It's called "being compassionate."
